On December, 10th, 1 pm UTC, I will be part of the Webinar Organizational Learning as an expert on “managing complexity” and “organizational learning” in the Management Skills Group (MSG) an international Community of Practice (CoP). From Klagenfurt into the world.
Webinar Organizational Learning
Modern economy and modern business get more and more dynamic and complex. During the last years business in general and organizations in special became more and more dynamic and complex. In the early 1990s it became clear for theoreticians and practitioners that traditional organizations are no longer able to cope with high dynamics and high complexity. So it is no accident that in those years there were systematic discussions about organizational learning. Today it is a fact that organizations need special and new abilities for existing in a world of high dynamics and high complexity. Arie de Geus put it in a nutshell: ‘The ability to learn faster than your competitors may be the only sustainable competitive advantage.’ (de Geus, Planning as Learning, 1988).
We will try to answer the following questions:
- What is organizational learning?
- Why do we need organizational learning?
- How can I use organizational learning in my organisational practice?
I want to show you our approach on organizational learning and to share my experience on organizational learning.
This webinar is the third of a series on “how to cope with high dynamics and high complexity in management and leadership practice?”
- The first was “The Hitchhiker’s Guide Through Complexity” (October, 8th)
- The second was “How to develop great teams?” (November, 13th)
I hope to meet you in the webinar and I am sure we will have a great webinar by sharing and discussing our knowledge and experience!
